There is nothing to fear, there’s only amazing artwork here! We broke out our costumes early for the Museum of Arts & Sciences 3rd annual Fall Family Festival. This “not-so-scary” Halloween extravaganza allowed us to explore MOAS in unexpected ways, and showed us that there is more to Halloween than just pumpkin picking and corn mazes. Here are 5 reasons why we loved this family-friendly Halloween bash.
1. Trick-Or-Treating Through The Galleries
We met enchanting new friends and creatures while creeping through the spooky decorated galleries.
DBM Pro Tip: Not so much a tip, but shout-out to Daytona Fit Mom for serving allergy-free snacks!
2. Halloween Planetarium Show
Favorite Halloween songs like “The Monster Mash,” “Ghostbusters,” and “Thriller” came to life with amazing graphics and lights. Great for family audiences, the visuals were lively, bright, and left the audience smiling in delight. This program is a perfect way to celebrate the spooky season.
3. Spooky Story Time
The Museum hosted a fabulously spooky and silly storytime for the little ones!
4. Crafts & Games
The kids loved making paper candy apples and coloring Halloween themed pages.
5. Halloween Costume Contest
Kids showed off their costumes as they paraded around the museum!
Without a doubt, this was one of the best Halloween events for kids as it exceeded all expectations for a spooky and fun filled day. For more information on future family events at MOAS, click here.
